Detour Neck Piece

Part of the Ribbons of Steel series. Bold sinuous steel neck piece.

This bold steel neck piece is formed in the shape of a sinuous, flowing ribbon. The steel is treated with a jet black patina, providing a dramatic contrast to the various metals fused into the design. The piece features accents of 18k gold, white bronze, and brilliant bronze, adding texture and visual interest. The closure behind the neck consists of a winding steel wire and is secured with a gold-filled lobster clasp, blending functionality with an artistic touch. While the jewelry has been sealed for protection, it is possible (though unlikely) that steel can rust if exposed to moisture. Store the jewelry away from moisture and avoid submerging it in any liquids. Avoid contact with perfumes, sunscreens or lotions. Occasionally rub a small amount of light oil into the surface.
